The 2010–11 Annual Report captures DRF at a moment when expansion began to take an inclusive form. The year brought sharper attention to two groups frequently excluded from mainstream employment pathways: rural youth and persons with disabilities. Through Skilling Rural India, training and job matching were organised around nearby growth centres, responding to the economic pressures that often make migration the only apparent option. In parallel, LABS centres worked with young people with visual, hearing and locomotor disabilities, combining employability training with placement support. Their experiences give the report its human centre. The edition also looks behind programme delivery, showing how new courses in pharma retail and organised retail were developed from market demand, and how facilitator training was strengthened to improve classroom practice. Read it for a closer view of an organisation learning how inclusion depends on thoughtful programme design, capable trainers, employer partnerships and sustained attention after training.
