Annual Report 2013-14

The 2013–14 Annual Report captures consolidation: initiatives tested over earlier years are now supported by clearer targets, stronger systems and a focus on outcomes. LABS grows its network of panel employers and uses participant and recruitment fees to recover part of the training cost, while FOIS brings centre-level information from registration through job retention into day-to-day decisions. The rural livelihoods section is revealing. Rather than promoting a single solution, teams diagnose local constraints and select low-risk technologies suited to farming context, from soil testing and drip irrigation to pest traps and improved paddy cultivation. Demonstrations by early adopters then carry these practices further. The report also follows the expansion of LABS-PwD and the work required to connect training with opportunities. Read it to understand how DRF was moving from programme expansion towards a more disciplined model of scale, where evidence, local adaptation and operational learning mattered as much as reach.
